what size swirl pot

as I`m fitting a 4.2 ajp into my griff I will need to make a new swirl pot for the coolant, but would like to know what volume of coolant would be required,

the old griff pot takes approx 2 litres, so would it improve the cooling system if this size was increased, or even decreased?

any thoughts?

From the point of view of the cooling system, the bigger the better. Packaging and looks might be more significant constraints though.
