I always thought that the Roadster was one of the most sought after Diablos and likely to command top money.

There are two excellent Roadsters currently for sale at just £58900 each.

If that is the reality money for a Roadster, does that mean the real money for SVs & VTs is more like £40k?

Welcome to the real world.
I am sure that either of those cars, which seem to be good low mileage examples, could be bagged for around £55k.
It does make some of the VTs and SVs being advertised, seem at least £10k too optimistic.
How much lower are these prices likely to drop.
Never liked the lines of the Roadster myself, but at that sort of price, who cares?

These cars were offered as a pair originally being owned by business partners. From what Mike Pullen tells me, they are both nice cars. I've seen the silver one in his workshop recently.
I was told by two guys in the lambo trade that the blue one was off the market, but perhaps not.

I do think thet they are very cheap. I'm not certain that one dealer offering a car cheap necessarily means that all subsequent similar cars have to be reduced accross the UK however.

Hi there Pete.
I think we all need to accept that the credit crunch has devalued all of our cars.
The achieved market prices dictate the "real" value of our cars. That is why a lot of the reputable classic and sportscar sources, base real values on achieved auction prices.
Let's face it, an advertiser can put in any price he wants in an ad, but that is not the real guage price.
I think that the two cars mentioned, which are being sold by a reputable trader, are at what is probably the true value at today's prices.
Both look like lovely cars.

Agree, both lovely cars. I am certain that these are both distressed sales as they were on an auction site this week too, ready for auction (not checked to see if they're both there still). I know they were offered around the trade at 55K and perhaps the dealer needs to get out of them quickly? Certainly not the usual sale condition for a roadster, a pair, auction etc... I'd snap one up if I didn't already have one. As they are usually advertised at arounf 75K, I don't think that 55K will be the new roadster price next week as a result of this company. Time will tell.

Personally I'm not too bothered, losses on cars are minimal compared to other financial drops that have happened.

I remember seeing the titanium coloured one.
Nice colour combo.
The credit crunch is well and truly here.
If I was looking for another Diablo, I would be banging their door down.
Cheap, cheap, cheap.

With such a limited number of these cars available, I don't think that it necessarily means that the cars have dropped that significantly as a result of this ad which has them about 30% cheaper than other previous roadsters. Once these sell, and they will (believe on did before this ad was out), where's the next buyer going to get one from at that price? Presumably only if another private owner is forced to sell desperately due to problems or a dealer with a lambo gets in trouble? Haven't noticed the well known lambo dealers reducing their diablos by that much. Guess the higher production number cars will always be effected more as there will always be someone desperate to sell at a cheap price, hence forcing others down.

The titanium car is lovely if anyone is interested.

Top Gear Specialist Cars have knocked a few grand off most of their Lambos.
