The metal dustbin type things: Any ideas on how long they'd take to burn one load of damp leaves?

Want to weigh up the £25 to buy + time to drive to garden centre and back + time taken to burn about 10 loads of leaves versus 2 trips to the dump queuing up behind every old person in a 10 mile radius.

Wet leaves wont burn without copious amounts of accelerants or a fire that is already intensely raging so the bin glows red.

That last part sounds rather awesome.

Get a used oil drum, cut the top off and cut x's round the bottom, job done.

Your better composting all the leaves. Get yourself a 300l plastic composter for £15 instead and fill. If you do manage to get a fire going wet grren material will smoke like crazy.
