Very random post, but had a bit of the old constipation over the last few days, tried everything.

My old Nan says "well i have a smoke in the morning and i need the toilet right away".

Im thinking daft old bag, get a grip.

But I tried it as i was quite uncomfortable. Low and behold... i have a poo.

Anyone know why?

My mate has said the same thing about smoking.

Couldn't tell you why...

It does sound odd to me.

It's a well known side effect of smoking, loads of info on it if you want to google.

Well, I'm a smoker, and have never suffered, so there could be something in it.

Thinking about it, nearly every ex-smoker I've met was full of st. Conclusive.

hehe

Reading the e-cigarette forum, many who stop smoking normal tabs and go onto electric cigarettes suffer several months of farting and constipation. I'm getting one purely to aid my trumping skills.

I too have encountered people who stop smoking & suffer the dreaded bung ups.

Sadly one or two also then developed bowel cancer- wonder if there's a link??

I was always under the impression that it was the obligotary <sp?> morning coffee consumed with the cigarette that made things 'advance'.

I don't smoke, (well, the occassional daliance while under the affluence!), but when I drink coffee in the morning I'm often required to make haste in a dunnybound direction shortly afterwards.

Were they Lambert & Butler ?

If so, you now know why they are known as st fags.

You are supposed to light cigarettes and put them in your mouth. Not up your arse. If you do put fags up your arse I hope you don't light them first.

:-)

All regular as clockwork here too. g/f has the odd ciggie and when she does it seems to get the system moving.

Most i have come across are worse than any TV evangelist. Every time someone i know quits smoking I can be fairly sure they will either be back on them in a month or off the Christmas card list within 12months due to pious preaching and often a total change in their personality from fairly chilled to gibbering moron with a chip the size of Birmingham on their shoulder.

Oh and that thing about “They smell better” No they don’t, they reek of fear, cold sweats and have a hunted longing look in their eyes for what they can no-longer dare to dream of.

Thanks for sharing that with us....are you trying to say that you didn't smoke before & you started (inhaling & all!) just so you could have a st?
