Posting this under an anonymous username as I don't really want this linked to me by username...

My partner and I have a baby son together, much like this guy that she works with so they got chatting about the usual stuff, comparing babies etc.

Recently the little fker has decided that it is ok to start harrassing my girlfriend and trying to get her to sleep with him, he repeatedly tells her how he cheats on his partner (he has a 9 month old son with her) and always tries to flirt with her. He also does weird things like when it's his turn to make the tea she will ask for it with 2 sweeteners in he will put 20+ in like it's some kind of joke? (she doesn't let him make her drinks anymore)

He also mentions that at the Christmas party he is going to spike her drinks and get her to sleep with him.

Now she has told him really bluntly that she is not interested and would never cheat on me and I know she is in no way leading him on and she tells me everything that is said.

What would you suggest I do? i'm absoloutely fuming and feel like going round to his house and speaking to his partner, something along the lines of "Would you tell your fiancee to stop harrassing my partner at work, she is not interested in him, I trust you will pass the message on..."

I don't know why i'm so angry really, I have no problem with my girlfriend receiving attention from men, it's something you have to accept is going to happen and it's not as if I see him as any kind of threat I just don't like it when my partner feels uncomfortable going to work with him and has said she would be scared if she ever got left alone with him.

Now she doesn't really want to complain to the management as at the minute her job isn't that secure and the business are making lots of redundancies. She doesn't really need the job but she does enjoy it.

Should I take matters into my own hands and deal with it or would this be a mistake? I'm not talking about violence, just something like the above where I either have a word with him or make his behaviour known to his partner?

Cheers.

Tricky.

She should have a quiet word with HR in my view. She may not be the only one?

I was going to say she needs to deal with it herself, but this bit is a little bit wrong...

I'd be extremely tempted to give him a smack for that.

She has been trying to deal with it herself and he is not giving up. I just want to put a stop to it before he goes to far.

That's what I think as well.

If he's talking about spiking her drink at the Xmas party and he does, then at least it's on record if she needs to get the police involved. I take it she has spoken to her colleagues to make them aware of this sleezeball?

Hr is always the best bet.

They are there for your help.

At the end of the day they are the middle men between your other half and their boss. They are there to help you, not the company in this case.
