Apparently those who wilfully damage "safety" cameras are "mindless criminals
Well actually, it's them that are "mindless". Others at least have the intelligence to read the statistics, see behind the government's well funded spin, and realise that cameras, and the policy behind them, are killing 1,000 people per year.

So 8 coppers in the space of one section of motorway and all sat on their arses for the sake of speeding...... No
wonder this country is so screwed and people get shot every 2 minutes, how many gun crimes do you see on the motorway, how many drug dealers sell to kids on the central reservation, and when was the last time there was a burglary in lane 3...... what a load of shitedontlift said:

...it was when I had my jammer on and stopped a talivan from getting a lock.
Obviously because I was doing 78 or somthing and prevented the release of £60 from my wallet I must now be public enemy number 1
I am just an ordinary person who has to drive a high mileage in the course of my work. It used to be pleasant to have the sort of job in which one travelled around and met lots of people. Now it's not pleasant as instead of concentrating on driving safely I spend most of my time looking for cameras and checking the speedo. I'm glad I am due to retire in 2 years time.
However, I am becoming increasingly more anti-camera as time passes and now applaud those taking direct action against the cameras.
It is good that Peugeot are offering a 'Cyclops' unit as an optional extra in all UK-market cars. This sort of puts the seal of approval on such devices and will encourage other manufacturers to do the same.
The other tools of the high-mileage driver are becoming the laser-jammer and the 'broken' front number plate (to be fitted before starting a long motorway journey).
How sad that we have to think like this.
Remember, never sign the NIP, keep fighting, and this entire crock of crap will eventually disappear.

If they repositioned all the speed cameras to town centre locations and reduced the trigger speed to 7 mph, they could catch all the little scroats as they run off with their haul
Won't happen because they can't catch 100 scroats a day and charge them £60 each. Motorists are much easier targets.

I'd have more respect (correction my respect might inch up towards the zero mark from down in the nether regions) for the Scamera Partnership if they weren't such a bunch of mealy-mouthed ar$e$ - there was a woman director of one of them on Radio 4 patting herself on the back in such a big way: " I always drive within the speed limits. Always". She's just asking for someone to hunt her down and catch her out.
AND - why do they keep LOWERING the speed limits and whacking cameras up on slices of dual carriageway where it's perfectly safe to do more than 40mph, and always has been????? Why do I have to drive at 40? And exactly who am I supposed to overtake on this piece of dual carriageway? When we're all reduced to crawl-speed the only person I can overtake is Mrs Miggins going at 35 and all of a sudden I lose the will to live...
