I agree.. I like the fact we don't have avatars and signature pictures/random crap in each and every post.
You can still put picts of whatever you like in your profile however. That way, people see it, if they want and when they choose to, and not have it rammed in their face 24/7.

all of the above + it means you can actually read a post instead of loosing it in clutter and it makes it safer to surf at work, instead of some forums where the avatars or signatures of some joker end up very NSFW.

I'm a big fan of not having them.

That said, I wouldn't mind them if everyone else got to vote on what yours should be. We could have a little one for 'troll', and another for 'paid New Labour shill', etc...
