The good restaurant wiki in the Food, Drink & Restaurants forum is going wrong - when I look at it I can only see as far Warwickshire, but when I try to edit it I can see all the way to Wales.

Is this fixable, or is just me who can't see it all?

There's a finite limit to the amount of Wiki that can be displayed. If you click edit, you will see its all there, it just can't be displayed.

Is there a fix for this yet? Or can we get it split into multiple Wiki's, either alphabetically eg A-M, N-W, Scot+Wales+Ireland/NI+Overseas, or geographically - North, South, other Home Nations + Overseas ??

It's a rather hand resource! biggrin

It is going to be very difficult to fix, so unfortunately all I can suggest is splitting the wiki up.

It will make it easier to read and edit once it is split anyway, so all we need now is a volunteer! Any takers?

I'm happy to do it, in fact I've already started. The Existing Wiki will be English counties A-I, New one will be English counties K-W + Scotland, Wales and Ireland. I should have it posted up soon.

Couls one of the mods please Sticky the new Wiki Page 2. and cahge the Title of the original?

I'd probably split it into England / Scotland, Wales & Ireland just for ease of reading, with links between the two.

I'll get it stickied for you either way

Trouble is most of the recommendations are for England, so as it curretnly stands anything after half way down Surrey is not diplayed. The wiki is currently 623 lines long, and the page can only display 540 lines of text. I opted for A-I and K-W +Sco,Wal,Ire as this is approx 310 lines per page, leaving 230 lines available on each.

That is because the data hasn't been copied across from the original wiki.

Akers, do you have a copy or shall I dig it out of the database?

I just took the original and cut and pasted everything after Isle of White in to Part 2 before adding the Logo/heading. There wasn't any recommendations for Wales so I added a country heading at the end.

They have probably been lost some time in the past then. I'll have a dig in the history when i get to the office and see if I can locate them.
