Battery totally dead, had it tested & its "as dead as a doornail".
Having done some research I'm finding the Optima Red with a CCA of 815 seems to keep coming up as the best around for cranking power & outstanding retention of charge if left for months. At £149 inc vat just to buy it, I'm looking for advice before I take the plung.
Its dimensions are quoted as 254 x 174 x 200mm.

I have just orderd and received an 069 battery with a CCA of 700 and a four year warranty, for £52.00 plus £10 delivery. Was going to post and recommend 'County Batteries'.

Ordered it Tuesday, it arrived today. Haven't fitted it yet. It was planned for the Chimaera, but as of yesterday morning the Cerbera seems to want one too rolleyes

i am also looking for a new battery, after looking on the internet the one to go for seems to be the yellow top but i am not sure if any would fit the early chimaera battery box type 075

normal battery and drive the damn thing!

you can always make an excuse for a spin. 50 mile round trip for the papers and a pint of milk for example!
