More sitcom stuff. Outnumbered??

Whilst the P&P discuss 'The IT Crowd' and the relative merits of 'Farty Owls' and 'Father Ted' I thought I'd just put a word in for Guy Jenkins and Andy Hamilton's 'Outnumbered'.
Anyone else like it? I do realise it's a bit of an aquired taste.....

I've not seen any of "Outnumbered" but I do think that Andy Hamilton is one of tjhe most talented comedy scriptwriers around today. His radio stuff is very good.

Take a look, Eric, not sure if you know, but the way it's done is to let the children convey their part of the plot (so to speak) in their own words rather than from a script.

Aside from that, Hugh Dennis is a great comic actor and Claire Skinner is just lovely.

Another thumbs up from me for Outnumbered, I first caught sight of it last series although it always seemed to be on at funny times so missed some of them!

Cracking show though!

ETA - Got it series linked this time so no problems with that happening again! Ahhhhhh technology!

The show is at least partly improvised, so the kids aren't reading off scripts/cue cards..

Real Life "Outnumbered" moment:

Sister-in-law has spent a small fortune at the hairdressers, goes to pick up daughter (age six) from school.

Sister-in_law "Do you like my new hair do?"

Daughter " It will look nice when you put a brush through it".



Sister-in-law says to daughter every morning before going to school "Put a brush through your hair before we go".
