IMHO 5 litres won't last very long at a party, then you have to wait for the next can to chill...

Very true. 9 pints I believe. However, you could always leave it outside to chill or fridge.

I saw that too. But, it seems a bit 'desperate' if you are on your own, and nine pints won't be enough if you aren't. I suppose it could be a giggle if it was half the price, but I won't be asking for one for Christmas.

I know someone who has one. The kegs were impossible to get hold of, that might have changed though, and the thing took about 4 minutes to pour a pint. It was nicer than a can though.

The kegs work out about twice the price of a pack of 24 of the same lager/ale/cider/beer.

I bought a 2nd fridge for beer, spirits, white wine, etc. for £60 - and it holds 48 cans and 12 bottles of spirits/wine.

Doesn't look as flash, but it's saved me £80 on the fridge part alone - although I did see those coolers earlier in the year for £99.

your better off brewing your own beer from kits.

that way your barrel holds 40 pints, and its £10-20 per kit...
