Songs with a 'hidden' meaning

Just flipping through itunes this avo and was thinking of songs which seem to be about one thing but are actually about something else entirely (supposedly or otherwise). Examples include Turning Japanese, and Dancing With Myself (think we all know what they're actually about!). More interestingly someone told me the other day which is what got me thinking that It's Going To Happen, by the Undertones is actually about Bobby Sands and the IRA hunger strike. Is that common knowledge and I'm just the last to know?! Anyone else got any other songs in this category? Cheers.

'American Woman' by the 'Guess Who'
was a song by a Canadian band, and it was against Vietnam.
At the time there was talk about drafting folks from Canada, and the song isnt about an american woman at all, but its just anti-american. It talks about 'ghetto scenes' in the verses etc etc. Of course these pseudo socialists would prefer what we have in england, with rampant chav scum parasites and middle classes being shafted

'It's Going To Happen' was originally about the hunger strikes and since they were Derry boys it was a subject close to them, however the lyrics of the version that finally made it to the single and album actually have nothing to do with the strikes. Mickey's lyrics were so crap that he re-wrote it and maintains that the words mean nothing at all, he's just happy if they rhyme! The title (and chorus) are both the work of the awesome Dee O'Neill.
