Hi bought 500 2000 16,000m ac,full hide, grif wheels, gold badges, TVR logo's. Fantastic car.
1. Nothing is wet yet. Carpets bone dry but noticed dash near passenger windscreen appears a bit bumpy like water might be under neath the leather. If nothing else is wet, there is no damp smell did I just miss the dash when I bought it or do I have a problem ?
2. Windscreen seal fits poorly. But as I say no leaks. Should I worry ?
3. Removed carpet cover in front of battery today. I found a black ECU and wires plus replays proped on top of the battery. Is this correct or do these belong somewhere else ?
4. AC - Does any one see any difference when you press the button on the console for recirculation or fresh air is mine broke ?
Thanks

Good choice.

Its a toughie that one. To be honest there is no real way of telling until its really wet. It might have been previous damage, but by the sounds of it, just keep an eye on it. TVR's are notorious for small leaks, and if it does then dont worry as they are pretty easy to fix. But do expect a certain amount of damp smell, its a convertible and its got a plastic screen!!

Normally not. But if in doubt then get along to a windscreen place and get it re-fitted. Wont cost much and should be fine. But if the fit is poor at the bottom or edges of the screen (as apossed to the top) then get it fixed. This is how you get clouding of the sealer and it can only be fixed when the windscreen is replaced!

Er, yes - perfectly normal. Great isnt it.

Yes you should get some impact. Muck with all of the dials and make sure you have the vents open. If there is still no change then get on down to a air con specialist and get it checked out. Chances are its just a re-gas that you need and this is peanuts. Unlikely to be broken...

Welcome CMJ,
It sound to me like you have the same problem I had with my dash, i.e. the dash top on the passenger’s side has “bubbles” in it.
Took it back to the dealer and all it needed to sort the problem, was to have the leather trim tightened over the dash top. Hey presto! No bubbles.
Hope this helps
