I quite like it, although the avatar stuff is a bit of a PITA.

The actual dashboard, ability to store games on the HDD instead of playing from DVD, and the setting up parties before launching the game are all nice touches.

Leagues ahead of the old format if you ask me, and I'll confess to somewhat childishly giggling at some of the stranger looking avatars out there hehe

You're not 12? Yet you're ranting about a kids game.

Odd.

Odd.
I see ranting about a console update, not a kids game confused

Aye, but it's like the new hotmail front end, you can't expand the fields anymore to see the full subject or sender, and where's the Check New Mail button?

Change for change's sake.

fk off with it.

Microsoft should just have two settings for Windows:

  • I'm 12 and like this crap because I'm too stupid to know any better.
  • Stick your experience up your arse and let me use my ttting computer.

That said, I got BioShock and Mass Effect on 2 for 20 quid and they're good, so bargain.

It's not like you have to sit there looking at the avatar all the time. It's there if you want to indulge, otherwise simply put the game in and get on with it.

I had to waste an entire 30 minutes of my very scarce free time waiting for the ttting thing to upgrade.

Something is wrong if it took 30 mins to update, mine took about 5 minutes.
Also, if people dont like the new dashboard, why not just get on with playing the games and then you will hardly ever see it, and then you can waste less time ranting about it on forums where no one cares about your sgging off.
