Skiing, Sauze D'ouix in Italy, any good?

Been about 5 or 6 years ago. Had loads of snow and had a great time. Plenty of bars and places to eat but not too full of clubs full of louts, if that makes sense.

Been there once in mid-March, nice resort but quite low lying so was struggling big time for snow, so be careful on time of year but don't let it put you off.
The town is on a hill rather than being in a valley like many resorts, so if you end up in a hotel in the older part of town (ie at the bottom of the hill) it's a fair old trek to the lifts. We stayed at the Hotel Miravalle which is about as far away as you can get, and the food was atrocious (a pot noodle would of been nicer).
The only other downer we had is the cable car that links over to Sestriere (I think), they shut it in high winds, if you happen to be on the wrong side of the mountain when they make the decision you're in for a long wait whilst they arrange coaches.
As for the nightlife, its not the liveliest of resorts, but there's enough going on to keep you happy for a week, with a nice selection of bars etc.
In short, nice resort, I'd go back, but pick wisely!

I won't be going back. It took forever to get up to the snow (Although they might have updated the lifts by now.) You'd be better off at valley level somewhere wih decent lifts and reliable snow.
