Just got back from the cinema with my gf and someone has smashed my windscreen! cant believe it and not completely sure if it is covered by my insurance company? is it a front clam of job or not? just cant believe people do stuff like this, the police said they could do nothing about it and that there was not cctv! damm! also they broke the plastic vent (part of the inspection hatches) on the front right? can you repair them with araldite? Anyone else had this kinda experience? easy to fix? why oh why!

See if you can get a heated windscreen sorted, at least windscreen claims don't affect your NCD. Not sure who can fit them in the Durham area (certainly wouldn't use Autoglass et al) but you may be able to get a specialist to source one from Sinclaires.

Hi. we've done quite a few here. It is a clam release job (i.e. undo and slide forward leaving electrics attached) unfortunatley as the screen is all part of the surround. approximately a 2.5-3hr job. HTH. Tim.

just been to jude preformance as f1s quote was just too much. They put me incontact with some one who can supply and fit for £309 if i take the clam of which i had done before. there called autowindshields, www.glassforcars.com - realy nice people but do they do a good job????

purdy, park'd in china town just down from andrews streen. gutt'd, but i wanna do this meet at the end of the month so it better b fix'd by then!

jude also showed me that it was some one who reversed into my car, the clam aint damaged at all FEW, but the top of it just clip the screen which shattered it, at least the clams ok i suppose!

It only takes the tiniest chip on the edge of the screen, i.e where the clam touches it on an impact to crack the screen full length.I broke mine changing a wiper arm !!
It seems the Eliseparts heated ones are S1 only.
