picked it up saturday. 1998 C43 saloon having a couple of previous owners and full benz history. i had a full benz check which found no serious faults other than worn front pads.
Initial impressions from limited use so far are very good.
comfortable, discreet and capable. The overly large traction warning light seeems to flicker a little more than i expected but i suspect that is due to damp conditions and plenty of torque in a RWD car.
Considering the car is now 10 yrs old and has covered 96k miles it is ageing much better than i am!
on a seperate note i have noted a judder from the front wheels when using full lock at low speed, i have experienced this on the 997s but nowhere near as pronounced. is this a common problem or do i need to have it looked at??

Sounds like it could be balljoints in the front suspension. I had them changed recently on my C280 Sport, I think the parts were around £60. Knocking from the front suspension on going over bumps indicates worn anti-roll bar bushes. They're less than a tenner so probably best to get them done at the same time as they do wear out quickly.
