Who come into contact with this sort of thing daily and in my experience adopt a dark sense of humour as a coping mechanism, same of BiB, Fire, Ambulance etc etc.

What you think because they can laugh at a photoshop of a sicko it impairs their ability to work? Now that gets a FFS.

Whilst it is a bit sick I don;t think deserve to lose their jobs over it, a written warning maybe? In fact can they be sacked just like that over one instance?

If it counts a some form of gross misconduct, I bet they can.

Personally, i think its an ott reaction, both from the council, and from the fool who reported them.

You need to look at bigger picture here to. Council allow staff to circulate child porn pics.... I'd also think the parents of molested kids in the care of these people would be a tad upset.
