The lights pop up and work fine. The problem is that part of the rear adjuster mechanism/bracket that holds the lamp in place is broken/corroded. Hence although the light is held in place you can quite literally push the lamp unit back about 1/2 an inch with no resistance in one corner. It wobbles like hell if your're driving and i suspect its not secure enough in place to pass the MOT??
Would that be an MOT failure? Its not going to fall out but its not 100% secure.

One of mine was loose like that, and my local garage sorted it for me last week (amongst other things), so she passed the MOT.
They only charged me four & half hours labour for sorting the light, fitting 2 trackrod ends, fixing door handle mechanism, new fuel filter, which was leaking anyway , fitting new light switch, and two rack gaiters.
