Hello all,

Will have a whole new set of rubber on wednesday and so want to get the alignment and tracking done.

Quick Fit said they can do it, but need the settings in degrees.

Can anyone provide a print out or link to a set of figures?

Must be in degrees though.

Cheers

From the manual:

Tracking settings (1997 4.2 Cerb) :

Camber Degrees - 0.5 to 1.25 negative both front and rear

Caster Degrees - 3.5 to 4.5 positive front (rear n/a)

Toe Minutes - 10 to 20 in, both front and rear.

Is that the same for the 4.5? having just taken the suspension to pieces im going to need to put it back with the correct settings.

I have just looked in the workshop manual and it appears it is the same settings for the 4.2 and 4.5.

I would get the geo done by someone who can do it with a Laser.... Best £100 I ever spend on my Old Impreza was getting the geo done..

My wife took her Vauxhall Signum into a Tyre/Exhaust centre for two new tyres, came home with a huge bill, 2 tyres,4 balance and four wheel tracking. the old tyres wore evenly on all corners but high miles took the rubber away.I hit the roof and had a go at my wife for getting sucked in by the sale pitch. Next thing I noticed the steering wheel was o/o/l she took it back twice and then felt the car became unstable and skitish on r/h bends. In two weeks the tyre was scuffing, then i ran it over my drive-over traking plate, this showed that the r/n/s wheel toed in 2deg. I adusted it back out and repeated the test to good result. In short, take your car to someone who uses top gear to carry out their work as profesionals who care about cars and not someone who buys the kit to try and make money out of people who's cars are fine to start with.
