I bought something off ebay for a criminally low price, paid for it with the postage and waited.

And waited and waited and nothing after 2 weeks, I contacted the seller, no reply, filed a dispute and things started moving. All apologies then, and firstly poor excuses, then they claimed wrong details, and finally they said it was sent and should have been here towards the end of last week.

Now, i'm thinking, is this guy just stalling til the feedback time limit goes up.
I checked through ebay's help topics on feedback, and that was pretty basic, didn't even mention the time limit, so i'm wondering if the time limit is reset when a disputed is started.

And secondly, what's the devastating bad feedback i can leave evil

i never sell anything on there, and they have been quite ass-kissy over the last year for some reason, unless they do that to everyone.
ie - there gave me helplines but said don't tell anyone i have them, which was kinda cute!

sellers cannot leave negative feedback. feedback on ebay is useless now

yeah they do that to everyone if you buy once or twice a month

edit to add the helpline is useless, they wont do anything other than keep you on the phone going round in circles with not answering your questions.

I did ask if it was the helpdesk i had called earlier this evening, because all I could make out was it was just a desk!

It was the ECU for a car, not something i needed, but i often just collect anything going dirt cheap, so it was a 1200 new price ecu, s/h value if needed from a breakers of about 120 quid, and i got it for £1.20.

I have had a few things recently not turn up, and stupid excuses given, and if the guy had said that someone broke into his house, and stole just that ECU, i'd at let him off, but i can't stand the fact they couldn't even be bothered to make an excuse, and keep the 15 quid-ish postage money, and just hide.

Have a look at his feedback and see what other comments have been made, then make it clear you have had no item sent since paying, whilst using terms similar to other negatives. Lots of buyers will avoid someone with several negative comments that are similar, like i do.

If he follows your feedback up with an excuse, follow it up and make it known that he has no tracking number or other similar proof of posting and his comment is worthless.

Almost everyone reads just the negative comments, does anyone really read the positives?

I think the guy is OK otherwise, feedback is pretty high.

I know what you mean about the positive feedback, usually some dumb ascii art.
I've started leaving obscure film quotes or random collections of words.

Shame, negative is the way now, i'm fairly sure the time limit doesn't change even if you start a dispute, my guess is he's waiting for the dispute so he can just refund you and send you on your way, then his comment to your negative feedback will be along the lines of "i refunded him, what more can i do" No wonder Ebay is getting a bad name with morons like this selling stuff, make the neg very clear about items not sent even after x amount of time, it's good enough to put some people off.

well, i want to make sure i get a kick at him before the feedback window closes,
but i'd prefer to wait until the very last minute, just in case i have jumped the gun, and his internet really did break, and royal mail really did say my postcode didn't exist.

All of the auctions are listed as private, so you can't see what was bought.
Maybe leave a positive -
" Great sex doll, but slightly more ass wear than described "
