BBC Confirms F1 Presenting Team

Even veteran commentator Murray Walker is set to return to give regular opinion on the BBC Sport website. According to the BBC the 84-year-old will be ‘offering his expert insight and perspective on the action and interacting with F1 fans through an online Q&A forum.’
The pit-lane reporters will be Ted Kravitz and Lee McKenzie. Coulthard, 37, will continue to be a test driver and consultant for Red Bull. He said: ‘After 15 seasons competing in F1, my passion for the sport is still very much alive, and therefore I was delighted to be given the opportunity to share my views and experiences through the BBC coverage of F1. Many of the BBC team are known to me already and, for those members new to F1, I look forward to building on the established audience of F1 fans in the UK.’
Niall Sloane, BBC head of F1, said: ‘We have put a fantastic team together and are delighted to be able to offer a comprehensive and engaging Formula One experience. This is an exciting sport and we are very much looking forward to next year.’

I vote Brundle dows his stuff in a fake Norfolk accent & Eddie Jordan in an Irish 1 - both can speak clear English but I see no reason why they should if DC is allowed to continue with his silly Scottish accent despite being able to speak unaccented Ehnglish.

Having a go at someone purely due to their birthplace and its associated dialect and accent.
Not really a well rounded argument against a persons employment is it?
But then they do need to do something to distract the viewer from the weapons grade levels of boredom supplied by the races themseleves.,
I have tried many times over the last few years to watch an F1 race but ALWAYS fall asleep before the end.
The best soloution is as follows -
Limit all teams to a budget of €2m
Pay every driver the same salary, would suggest that €100k per year would be sufficiant. There should also be a clause that they get a bonus of €250k each time they overtake another car. (Clarksons idea, not mine.) Not sure where the funds for this would come from - TV rights money perhaps?
All teams must use the same engine from the same supplier but with a certain number of modifications allowed.
The winners will then be the team with the best combination of talent in both drivers and engineers rather than the teams with the biggest budget.
If all of the above is implemented an F1 race MIGHT at some point in the future be as exciting to watch as e.g. a field full of Mini's or Fiesta's
racing around Castle Coombe or Brands Hatch etc.
And if you dont like F1, don't watch!
