Im slowly getting there with the 2500M rebuild...

Does anyone know what the two round "donut" type air filter elements were from on the carbed engine? My local parts supplier couldnt come up with anything...which is unusual for them!

If I remember correctly, this engine was an export only version primarily destined for the US. When I had mine, I fitted twin chrome pancake items by Alexander. I imagine these are available for the Strombergs, I believe you have fitted, but there could be issues relating to setting mixture correctly as they tend to run lean at certain revs.

Thanks Alan.

I want to try and keep the standard airbox if possible.....It would be all to easy to switch to some nice K&N sock filters.... but stock might be best in this case!

Duncan,

Have you tried Rimmer Bros, Moss, or The TR Centre in Chiswick?

The engine is broadly TR6 but has the emission 'strangulation' for the US. If I remember correctly it was called a TR250?

Try these: http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/cgi-bin/rimmer?findpar...
