After my initial concerns after having the upgraded alloy rad fitted i have been monitoring the temp very closely and i am glad to say all is good.

Have just come back from a 600 mile round trip and the water temp was hovering around 80 on the motorway and in town driving maxed out at 92 oil temp around 45 on motorway and 65 in town.

So i think it is all spot on, hopefully this will be the last of my woes, am still enjoying her and she just eats up the miles, so fingers crossed they should be very little now that can go wrong as i have fixed/upgraded everything.

Thats good news Stephen. Glad your still enjoying the Tivthumbup

Got my Tam back from it's servicebounce, so if you are still interested in fitting Nitrons to your T350yes and want a Demo then pop round.

Glad it's OK now - still got a prblem with mine, temp sits about 92 on motorways (in this weather) and often hits 100 at idle. Been to the dealer who found a loose hose and replaced senders, still the same.
Also noticed steam coming from the bonnet and the coolant drops to about 5-6 inches gbelow the top after a 100 mile journey.
Going back to Castle on the 8th for a further look, I still think its the rad but they say it has been checked.
Any ideas guys?

you probly have the same fault as mine had (it's quite common). I kept getting airlocks whice would dump the coolent, I ended up bleading the system weekly!! turned out to be a very small hairline crack in the rad which opened up when the engine got hot (lost very minute coolant from this)but when she cooled the vacuum caused by cooling water pulled air into the rad.Only dicovered when it finally split big time and I replaced the rad, no futher problems.

Thanks ever so much for this. I'll mention this to Castle as it would certainly explain a sudden coolant loss with no apparent leak. I presume your coolant dump due to the airlock was out of the pressure cap on the header tank?

These cars move an flex quite a bit, no surprise when the rad developes a crack. The original rad is crap to say the least. The best way forward is to fit an Ali one. Job done no more problems!

Any suggestions on where to get a radiator upgrade in the northwest area?My T350 also runs too hot with its original radiator.
