Jaguar phone and Satnav
Discussion
Sorry I seem to be taking over this forum! My 2000 XKR has both the above - but no insructions on how to use them
I'm ok with the phone - except I can't work out how to access numbers saved on my SIM. Is there a redial facility too? It is the original Jaguar phone in the centre console.
Satnav seems pretty awful compared to newer Tom Tom etc... It has the original DVD and occasionally says it can't read it. My Volvo system of the same era sometimes does the same. Any thoughts?
Also not sure how to save an address or how to turn the volume down - or off - it is very loud at present. Thanks as ever for any help

Hi, last number redial, I am going from memory so bear with me, press the phone button, I think it says call ?, then press mr, it then displays location ?, press mr again and the last number should appear, then press the phone button for call, you can configure the phone settings through the handset, but it is cumbersome, I tend to just divert my mobile to a pay as you go sim in the car and only use it to answer calls. you set the volume for the nav through the stereo, press function and choose a volume level for nav, it should be on the same menu as bass and treble etc.
the nav and the phone are of their day, I prefer my tomtom that I can transfer between cars, it takes a few moments to set it up but it is sooooo much better, IMHO
I am looking to get a bluetooth replacement for the phone but am debating changing the head unit + cd changer for a hard disk affair.
Good luck
