Not many things will make their Zonda look down-on-power, but it looks like they just bought one hehe

Cheers.

I take it you need fantastic eyesight to drive at Veyron vMax and the web-site
is some sort of test.

I guess the people that this car's aimed at are immune to the credit crunch!

I have to say I'm a big fan of the people at Rio Prestige and I'm glad to see that there business is succeeding. Although I do wonder how long it would need to pay itself back?

Or have I missed something and there a huge depreciation in the Veyron?

Apparently a Veyron got sold in the UK for £650 000 recently, although not sure if that's true.

Think Rio had this for a while before but wasn't advertised directly (also heard was around £10 000 a day but not sure if that's more rumours).

Hi,

I have been following rio prestige's fleet changes with some interest, and very nearly signed up for one of their Scottish tours a while back.

However, I heard from a mate today that they were possibly closing down?

Anyone else heard anything?

Cheers

That doesn't make sense though - they have just taken on the Veyron and are rumoured to have a 599 GTB Fiorano and McLaren SLR Roadster on order. I am not a businessman but that sounds like a company on the up. It wouldn't make sense to make these huge investments if they were failing.

These would have been ordered a while back, perhaps too expensive to cancel?

Because of the wording and lack of an "0n-site" picture, I always assumed that the Veyron wasn't owned, just bookable, and that they have a deal with whoever does own it to supply when required. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I've also heard rumours that all's not well. I know they were selling quite a lot of their cars recently but I couldn't tell you what they have left. The MD, Ed, posts pretty actively on here as Northo, so hopefully he'll pop by soon and let us know the score.....

Curiosity got the better of me, and I've just spoken to the owner of Rio. He said 'Rio Prestige will change, not close - I haven't given up yet. Just swapping some of the fleet and cutting costs'

I suspect it will live on in different manner to that which it currently appears. It will be interesting to see how it changes....

From little I understand people are going to "rent" their cars to Rio customers, so that'd mean Rio don't have to pay for the upkeep and depreciation but deal with all the hastle of customers coming to them etc rather than the owners having to advertise etc.
