Best MPG for a 6 second car?

Would have thought a 335d was in with a shout, seeing as it's the smallest-bodied car with the x35d engine in.
The (2008) 330d will also get to 60 in under 6 seconds and I'd imagine it's more efficient. The answer is probably some super-light kit car though.

Normal driving is circa 27mpg

I can get 38mpg.

If you want to play that game:
Elise 111S. 0-60 in 5.0 seconds (measured). If I drive really sedately, I can get 50mpg.

Unfortunately I normally average about 38mpg.

Elise. 45 mpg.
What kind of Elise do you think will average 45mpg?
ETA: None of these figures is better than the 123d's claimed 54mpg though. But then you'd have to drive a car that's really ugly AND a diesel!
I wonder if a lightly fettled Honda Insight could be got into the sixes?

On a downhill stretch of motorway at circa 50mph I can 200mpg

How's that!
