2004 A6 Allroad tyres needed

New tyres needed soon, and am after recommendations. Reviews of commonly fitted Pirelli P6 Allroads and Goodyear Wranglers are very poor, so I'm looking for alternatives. Car came with Michelin Primacy's, but are there any others I should look at?
Don't intend taking it offroad, but something with a bit of grip in snow may be handy.

Dad had pirelli scropio's on his.
seem to be fairing better than the allroad OEM equipment.
