why noble? bored sorry..

as i have been asked on many occasions... Why Noble? not that anyone thinks its a bad idea but lets be honest its not as if we see them every day and have adverts plastered all over billboards etc..
personally i was always dreaming of owning a very fast car when i was growing up. my dad had a new 911 every 6 months for about 5 years so i caught the bug. i must admit i can 100% thank mr clarkson for planting the seed in my head in the famous "darth vader" episode of top gear. from that moment on "i was going to get me one of those some day" and here we are...

TBH i used to think Noble's were ugly and never rated them, I was looking at RS4's and one of my friends convinced me it was to 'old and sensible' a car for me, he then proceeded to email me links to Ariel Atoms and M12's that were in the classifieds, then when i got looking i decided after spending a fortune on my TVR that i would buy the newest possible low miles one to ensure it wouldn't need to much attention and cash, now i find myself throwing money at upgrades

Jimboo, I'm with you mate. It was actually Jezza's dvd with the 2.5 that caught my eye. After that I was smitten and wanted nothing else. After selling my pride and joy at the time, I waited a year to save the cash needed to get one. The year of driving a shed was all worth it and I now have so many happy memories of driving, in my opinion, one of the best handling cars around!!
She's up for sale at the mo as after 2 1/2 years I want to try something else (Z06) but I have a very strong feeling that i will return to noble in the future.
Oh, I forgot to mention how great a feeling it was to drive it home when I collected it. What a car and well worth my wait.

I never rated the Noble and didnt used to give it a 2nd glance... mainly due to snobbery as I built an Ultima and considered the noble its low spec cousin.
When I needed an everyday replacement for the Boxster and M3, I found the noble wasnt that expensive especially since I was looking at Lotuses etc for similar cash.... took a test drive in an M12 and have to say was blown away, its just so complete and ticks every box for me.
Its a long way from the fastest car I have had... but its my favourite and almost certianly the quickest round the back roads.

Just drove mine to Chesterfield (Noble Motorsport for a Stage 4 upgrade plus their new Stainless exhaust system ) today from Dereham left at 1230 arrived chesterfield 1430 still smiling even after driving a Puma 1.6 all the way back to Dereham ,I bow humbly to Lee Noble and his former Team and am counting the 3 weeks I've got to wait to get it back in its new guise.And its British why not a Noble.

Back in 2001, I had a birthday present to drive a Diablo, Dodge Viper, Jaguar XKR (auto???!!!?), Exige S1 and a 2.5 Noble on a track day thingy..... I drove the Noble last and quickly realized just how much better it is than all the others. The Exige was also good fun but just not quick enough on a big track!

Had done all the TVR and Porsche thing and wanted something that was British, exceedingly fast and fun. There wasn't anything else, as I didn't like the look of the Marcos and the Lotuses are too small for me.
Have to admit I thought it was a bit Halfords special but when I drove it I soon realised where the money had been spent.
