Things you have done to get a job

Just wondering what are some of things people have doen to get a job, I am sure there are some classics out there.

I actually went to someone office while they asked me all manner of of probing questions about why I wanted to work there.

Like it's any of their business? Never again.

I went for a final interview for a fairly high-powered sales job with a big US corp a few years ago and was pre-warned that I would have to make a Powerpoint presentation lasting 10 minutes but I could not bring it with me, I would have 20 minutes before I had to present to write it to show how I could work under pressure and was skilled with PP. All they told me in advance was the topic and that a laptop would be available to me at the interview. Being a sneaky sort, I wrote the presentation in advance with nice graphics, company logos etc and uploaded it to my Compaq Ipaq and took it with me. When I got there they sat me down in front of the laptop, told me it had no CD or floppy drive and no net connection so I couldn't cheat and left me to it for my 20 mins. I got out my Ipaq, enabled the IRDA connection on the laptop and beamed my presentation across and then twiddled my thumbs for the next 19 mins. When they came back in (including big boss CEO from the US) and I made my presentation they were all shell-shocked and were amazed I could make such brilliant presentation with no net connection in a few minutes. All the others were very basic cobbled together efforts. After the interview they offered me the job on the condition I told them how I did it. They were quite surprised when I explained but I turned them down a few days later when I got a better offer!
