hi there. ive got a mondeo mk2 1.8 zetec. it seems to be having problems with its running, as now and then it seems to just cut out. now and then i would be driving on the motorway, and it then has no power.

ive renewed the plugs and fuel filter. inspected the cat, and it seems good. ive run a diagnostic test on it and there are no fault codes. the air filter is in good condition-its a k&n, still using the air mass. ive also checked the emmisions-all spot on.

help please

Maybe suspect the HT coil pack? Sounds like it is possibly getting warm with heat soak and revealing a fault that isn't there when the engine is cool in slow speed running.

hi there zad. just replaced the coil pack today, and yet again it still seems to cut out intermittently. surprisingly though i managed to get some fault codes this time from my diagnostic machine. had p0351 and p0352- then refering to autodata, it suggests like you said, coil pack, wiring fault or an ecu issue. what do you think the chances of an ecu fault being the problem is?
