Personally I would not bother buying new wheels for it.. use it as a first car and then once you have learned to drive properly use the money to buy something half decent.

He thinks Im a chav and Im going to ruin my car, well guess what I aint only thing I will ever do to it will be to get a hi fi system built into it and new alloys once Iv got a job and earning enough money. Question- why would anyone want to put lexus lights on a SXi which already comes with decent headlights/

He probably thinks that all teenagers are chavs, which makes him an idiot.

I'm just about to turn seventeen and am considering a Corsa, but that makes me a chav too right?

I personally can't stand people who make stupid sweeping statements like that.

I was in your position a year ago, and bought an 03 Fiesta instead eekeek

Don't listen to what anyone says - You have put a lot of hard work into something you want, so ignore them and enjoy it for what its worth.

You know I don't speak spanish Baxter - in english!! hehe Oh, and lexus lights are actually the tail lights!! smile As echoed above though - don't waste money on wheels etc - earn yourself some no claims, save up some cash and buy a better car when the cash allows, as you've said, it's a better car than your mates so be happy with that for now!!

If your proposing in getting a corsa when you turn 17, Quinn Direct is the best insurance company to go with, I only pay £381 a year.thumbup

I had a Corsa as my first car.

I added a bolt on exhaust tip, so fake Sri badges and side rubber strips. Oh, and some mudguards and painted the little white vauxhall badge on the mudguards in red with the touch of pen. Only had 4 gears!

Good little first car though, although it needed a little T-Cut during my custody.

Keep it on the tarmac smile
