Laser diffusers and Radar detectors
Discussion
here are my experiences
without doubt tyhe best jammer is tha the target LRC100 and it is possible to link this directly, with an adaptor kit so it plugs directly into a road angel.
This is the set up I first had.
The Road anel is good as a basic detector, but it does not log DS2 sites (wires in the road with scameras) and it makes a racket warning you of a gatso ahead even when you are in a traffic jam and you can stop it(unless you unplug it!)
The other thing is many vans and police are still using radar so no protection there
My latest set up is an origin B2 (which detects DS2 and gatsos and specs, ) with an LRC100 jammer you can fit directly to it and ive ordered the radar accessory which will be available soon.
Depends if you really need complete portability, which you do get with RA but its a big black unit swinging round on your dash all the time!!
depends what you want really!

Cheers - is the origin b2 the "Origin Blue" or is that something else?
I've had the blue i and sold it for the b2. Both, in my opinion, are excellent units, and worked faultlessly in the Tuscan.
Just installed (huge thanks to Martin Slade at Racing Green!) the LRC100 and integrated perfectly with the b2.
Got it tested in the week, thanks to the previous post by Ghost about testing it at Theale, nr Reading. Money well spent, worked perfectly, the 20/20 Marksman unit COULD NOT get a read on my car whatsoever. Fantastic! Couldn't stop smiling and laughing as a result. Top unit too. The tester tried pointing the laser at the extreme edges of the Tuscan, rather than just at the number plate....no problems for the LRC100.
Any more info anyone wants, just ask.
LB (now with a stealthy Tuscan)

Farnborough assitance would be appreciated - please drop me a line off line if you like.
Current concern is "hard" wiring these puppies into the car - it is italian ya know!! So semi hard wiring - ie via the ciggy lighter cabling is my sort of preference!
Can you indicate as to costs?
Cheers

I'm in New Malden....took my car to Racing Green TVR in Ash Vale, and Martin kindly mounted the jammer for free when I got my car serviced. So as for mounting, not sure of the costs. It would only be the cost of phone call to Racing Green to see if they could do it for you, regardless of make of car.
My power supply (which is the original Origin Blue i power supply as they're the same) was mounted my Mole Valley TVR for free when I bought the car. They wired it to the back of the ciggie lighter with a discreet switch which I used to turn the power on and off to the unit (wasn't really necessary though).
Definitely get the wiring done properly (ie hidden). Here's a pic of my old Blue i mounted in the car:
The b2 is smaller in size, and mounts magnetically into a cradle which stays in the car. One wire goes into the cradle, which has lots of sockets at the other end for various bits (GPS receiver, power, laser detector, laser jammer, radar detector).
I'll ask around to see what kind of price you might expect to pay for buying both units together, although I seem to remember one of the speed trap websites advertising a deal if you bought both together.
If you are thinking of the LRC100 jammer, have a think as to where you might mount it BEFORE you buy it. Luckily my one fits exactly into the holes in the 'swiss cheese' grill above the number plate. That's the recommended place for any fitting, as close to the number plate as possible and as centred as possible.

Diffuser testing - email laser.test@btopenworld.com. Mention you got his details through Pistonheads via Ghost and Luca Brazzi and he'll be in touch, cost £40 (money well spent)

Well I did not explain myself very well!
Of course you can mute the Road Angel if you press a button for 1 second.
On the origin however, you have a smart feature which means that providing you keep to the posted limit it remains completely silent- so no alarms while you wait in a jam by the side of a camera!
