Hi all,

Before I get my wrist slapped by Garlick et al, this is not an advert (ish), the advert is already here censoredETA in the classfieds

nono no links to ad in the forums please.

The issue I am having is that its just been relisted at 4k due to lack of interest, can anyone point me in the right direction as to why this may be?
Am I being wildly optimistic with the price? I didn't think I was, but I'm open to advice on this. Admittedly the month before xmas in the midst of a credit crunc is not the best time to sell it..... but its taking up space on the drive!

Thanks all

I think it is a nice motor that has been looked after, but i would probably offer 3500 if i was buying.

The right buyer will come along as its a practical 5 door thats cheap to run ( i have a 3 dr 150 gt tdi and its cheap on fuel/tax/ins).

Also the red DI does not always denote 130 as these can be easily bought and stuck on and dealers put one whichever as well. (not saying yours is fake). HPI normally confirms the correct bhp along with engine code and dealer.

Also posting on p/h will not get as big audience as trader in which alot will be petrol heads rather than diesel buyers. on auto trader i would expect it to sell in a week or under. Ive got mine on trader on a 2 week adcosting £25

Hmm, might give autotrader a go then. Interesting point about the red DI, although we bought it privately and have no reason whatsoever to query it. I checked the engine number on our HPI report, but no mention of the bhp anywhere, can I find out from the engine no?

Thanks chap

Ring VW and give them your chassis number, they will know.

If it's only advertised on PH, you should probably think about advertising it elsewhere on the web and maybe in your local print (depending on the cost).

Sometimes it just takes a while for a buyer to come along even if you have priced it correctly.

Thanks all, I will probably list elsewhere, Just wondered why no interest, its a very clean car, without the usual pimped mods of massive wheels which I seem to be seeing more and more of!

engine code comes back as this btw: Golf IV Variant 1.9 TDI IC PD AJM

wooo! just done some research and it IS a 115bhp. better edit that advert, although apparently that doesn't mean its been misbadged. I just presumed it was 130....

Done now. Apologies to anyone misled
