I stayed in the Taj a couple of years ago.. Strange seeing it on the news with bloodstains in the lobby entrance..
I think it may have had a contract with a few airlines, for flight crew on stopovers.
Casualty numbers growing by the minute...

My missus is Indian and she's going spaz at the telly because she knows (as do I having been there a few times) that the local 'forces' are completely useless.
Interesting that it's not tourists that have been targeted - very much the main business district.
I usualy stay in a Taj when I'm over there but the Lands End which is more NW (round the bay) of that area.
Anyway - we know her family and friends are safe which is something - hope it works out without any further loss of life.

My sister is out there at the moment on business, luckily she is in the north of the city which seems to be away from the incidents at the moment. Although its obviously not very pleasant, apparently the attackers have been stealing police cars to get around.
She was supposed to be at a meeting in the Taj now though, but it was cancelled this morning!!Sometimes you have to believe in something on a higher level looking out for people!

They were due to fly home on Sunday - They have been on a year long trip - but changed their flights to the 11/12 to revisit Goa, so I am hoping that they have left already!!
