gear selection problems
Discussion
fine this morning on the way to work but on the return trip ..... started then tried to select 1st unable to get into gear all other gears the same felt like just trying to force against a solid object. eventually got it in gear very notchy selection same all the way home especially 5th. Selection is fine when the engine isn't running, clutch still has a very good bite on it about 2 inch from fully depressed no slippage. Any ideas?
master and slave cylinders previously replaced and clutch checked less than 6000 miles ago and told loads of life left or i would have got it done then. The clutch pedal itself is fine not too heavy no noticable difference in operation. I will check levels but no visable signs of leaks

when mine was done, WH picked up 50% of the bill as they claimed 50% wear on the linings.
We had a 1999 T Speed Six do the same and got WHA to front the whole lot, car had 23,000 miles on it - 1 Owner who had driven it like a baby, three weeks with the next chap and bang exactly the same fault as yours.
At least if you get it done your bullet proof for a while

why is there such a big variation on what WHA will pay out .. recently I had a claim where they'd only pay for 33% of the clutch and 6 hours at 28/hour .. the owner still has a big bill. I think some sort of level playing field would be great, it's not as if I make many claims through them .. only three in two years!!
For anyone's info , the AA warranty is stunning .. ask your local patrolman, also car care plan knocks spots off WHA any day of the week.
