Oil or electric heating????????

We have one room in the house which is always cold despite being centrally heated. We have a plug in oil filled heated and an electric heater.

Which is the cheapest to run?

fan heater should warm room quicker, get one with a stat and let it kick in and out when you are in there, when you are not turn it off.

Depends on how long one has the electric heater on. Over a short period of time would say the electric fire would be cheaper as the oil will take a time to heat up. Over the longer period, the oil filled rad should be cheaper, especially if stat-controlled.
