For those of you who have not read my other thread I'm now stuck with my cerb's drivers window in the down position and no door boot operations at all. I'm suspecting the door lock/windows control box but i need to be sure. Is there anyone near me willing to try my control box/let me try there's? It would help me a lot to get my window back up also. Dose anyone know where i can get one of these control boxes from new or used? Dose anyone have a spare i could borrow until i sort one out for myself? Getting desperate here! Yours Sincerely
(stressed out)
Guy.

Can you try and borrow one from Joolz, RT Racing or Kojak?
I am in Sheffield today if you need some advice re gaining access to the car. But I assume you have that sorted.

Hi,

I may be in Sheffield next weekend (not this coming one), depends if my daughter is going skating or horse-riding. alternatively if you can drive the car to the other side of the peaks as I can't really go anywhere as I'm on call throughout the weekend. Though I'm very tempted to head over to have a go at that Puma.

Is the whole thing borked? do the windows not move when using the black buttons on the inside? If that's the case, I wonder if there is simple no power to the box. Mine goes on the blink every now and then where the buttons don't work, but the windows always work.

If you need to get the windows up today and can't wait, then you can remove the control box for the doors and windows, take off the door cards and run 12v power to the motor directly using a spare battery and a couple of wires.

You don't need to remove the door cards, you can control all the door/window operations form the boot without a 12v battery so long as your battery is not discharged. You just need a couple of pieces of wire, the info you need is on this page:

Right then, thanks for the info and offers guys! What i'm going to do is head out later with that plug wiring diagram and multimeter in hand and put some power down the plug to put the drivers window up! Will also check the supply's to make sure no fuses have blown etc. I'll also get in contact with Joolz and see if i can pop over maybe tomorrow with my control box and try it on a cerb at his. (if he/owner will let me?) I wanted to pick his brains about engines tuning etc etc anyway. And if it is at fault i'll get in touch with Bell Hill and see if they have one available? How much should i expect to pay for such an item? I'll keep you informed of my progress assuming i make some. Thanks again!
