Paint costs

Hi guys

My tuscan seems to have a few very minor cracks in its paint along with the odd chip here and there (service bonnet being the worse for chips and wheel arches having cracks).

How much is this likley to cost? Can Cyrstal Topaz be touched up or does it need a full respray to blend it in? So far I have a few minor cracks on the rear quater and front wheel arches along with a few chips on the roof and service hatch (both can be removed so thats an easy one).

Hi Dave

I took my Tuscan down to Beegee the other day and its is Blue Cystal Topaz too.

I don't have any major scratches or chips, in fact when we looked round it we didn't find many at all, I guess im a bit fussy.

But Gary's advice was that you cannot touch up this colour, it will end up looking worse than the chip, you can get complete panels resprayed but he can't guarantee it will match perfectly.

If things are bad, my advice is get the panels repaired and sprayed, but if you are looking at getting too many panels done and costs start rising, save up for the complete spray.

He mentioned this colour goes on white first then other colours on top which is why some small chips will show up whiteish.

Phone Richard or Neil at Dulford, and ask them to get there painter, "Tracey" to have a look. He repaired a crack on the main bonnet of my Nebula Blue Tuscan, only had to spray area the size of dinner plate.
