I would think the price is a little on the high side, and would look around some more, personally. How sure are you of the valuation of your car? If it really is worth 9K and can actually be sold at that price, then I would do so and have a look at a few more cars before deciding.

i have not yet looked at any to be honest. iam just wanting something with the best performance / low running costs as possible and theres not a lot that can beat these...?
Well i have valued mine at the lowest i can find on pistonheads but not many cars are selling understandably at the moment. Had plenty of interest with people wanting to px etc but no cash offers yet.

Try asking the value of that Indy on the Locostbuilders forum, they'll give you a pretty unbiased answer, however the builder may also be on there.

Also compare it to others anvertised in the classified section on here.

I would say that's a bit overpriced, in today's market (unless it's the new chassis in which case it's bang on). The ZX9 and Blade are yesterday's news on the engine front too. You'll find something of similar age and spec with an R1, ZX10 or ZX12 if you keep looking.

From that description it sounds like a car built by a guy called Dave, very well put together car, nice and clean engine bay, he sold it shortly after sva (he was on with another kit at the time)as far as i know, i think the car is now somewhere around north yorks, possible thirsk area.
As for the valuation, with the prices mk's (older chassis) are fetching i'd say it's worth about 7k

Just a thought, a BEC with a 3.6 diff will be even more revvy than usual. If you're looking for a low(er) top end and to be quicker through the gears, then it'll be fine. But the top end may be a little low for some.

Not always true ( e.g. R1 and blade are great with a 3.62 in a seven). Use this calculator instead of generalising. Consider aero as well, a seven clone will want a lower ratio diff than a fury for example.

I did say for some. I find that my car could do with a lower FD, as the cruising revs can be annoyingly high at times. It depends what you want the car to do and what you're willing to put up with. What you or I may think to be fine and acceptable may not be the case for all.
