RobP, PeterGUK, Paul C all have them, and a couple of us have the "cheap" dymags.
Heard good things, performance gain is via reduction in unsprung weight, so wont show on a RR.

I had them fitted to my M400 any real benefit would be noticeable on track with appropriate geo and suspension settings.
As per previous post no power gained but there is a theoretical performance advantage in that they have less inertia than a standard wheel and due to less unsprung weight will allow softer springs to be used giving more traction.
Some race teams claim to calculate they are "worth" in the region of 40 BHP.

No idea, but can guarantee men of all ages will take photos of them wherever you go hehe

On a more serious note, the reduction in reciprocating mass under acceleration is equal to a car weight reduction of between 4 and 6 times (depending on which tech. website you go to).

Braking feels better and steering responsiveness is definitely noticeably better. Made the car more kart like. Saved approx 15kg total weight from the car which is said to be worth 45-60kg worth of chassis mass. Looks the dog's danglies. Easier to clean. Kinder to the fitters back when changing tyres. Cheaper to send via courier. Kudos ++. If you think fitting new wheels increases power they're not for you.

the lighter wheels will have less inertia and will absorb less energy when the car is accelerating - so more power will be tranmistted to the road
(its a bit like fitting a gearbox with less mass)

the only way to find out is to measure wheel power before and after they are fitted. It can be calculated - you will need the mass of the wheel and the radius of gyration

yes Only issue is that the effect is only really noticeable when the rate of change is high i.e. from 0-60mph and as Nobles tend to be able to break traction all the way past that you'd not actually going to gain much in real world performance.

As others said though they have other advantages. Don't go near curbs or potholes though!

Ian - couple of recent strings on the topic below:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Within a week of fitting mine I'd done 1000 miles and 2 track days. Performance advantages are as stated by others, but for me at least, are really only noticeable on track. If you're just going to pose up and down the local high street (no harm in that) then it's an expensive addition. But if you do track your car it's a good investment.
Note - that if you want £1.5K off current list price contact Andy Goswell at Dymag asap and tell him the Nobility sent you! Offer stands till Christmas.

The way I park (kerbed rear wheel 4 days after collecting beastie outside house) along with subsequent scrapes these wheels, although pretty, would be stressful in my ownership.

Because the magnesium only wheels may be found to be cracked and thus only good for the melting pot?
However the carbon wheels don't suffer in the same way from kerbing. B|ecause the rim is solid substrate if you kerb it all you do is grind away the surrounding area to smooth it and re-polish.

Not the issue, crack testing was fine.

Will also post on Nobleparts.

cant begin to imagine what happened frown with 6k of wheels you expect exemplary customer support for what i pesonally see as an experimental product! I've a great deal of respect for people who run them as they scare me!!!
