Not having bleeded brakes or clutch on any kind of car for at least 20 yers and I do remember what a pain in the A**e it always was and you needed at least 2 people to do it.

As I will be changing the brake Disc, pads and braided hoses in the coming weeks, just waiting for the parts to arrive and then wait for some not too cold weather and no rain, I bought one of the Eezybleed kits off fleabay for around £10 plus pp.

I used it yesterday to bleed the clutch which was a bit spongy after running low of fluid.

And what an excellent piece of kit. It works a treat and so quick and easy to use.

I now have a solid feeling clutch pedal and it took all of 30 seconds to bleed it.

Changing the brakes bits now should be a lot easier.bounce

Shame they weren't around 20 or so years ago when I spent many a cold hour bleeding brakes on a Ford 105e Anglia. Progress

Much more fun getting the other half out from the warmth and tv to sit in a cold car, cold garage. Then shouting up/down whilst rounding off bleed screws and covering the floor with brake fluid. wink

I thought those eezibleeds had been out for like....forever. scratchchin

Anyone remember those 'ABV' self bleeding nipples ?

One man operation.

I bought a set for my MK3A Rapier back in the early seventies. Just screw them in, replacing normal nipples, pump through each and then tighten up (one-way valve)...job done. They worked fine for me, but I heard later that they'd been withdrawn from the market.

As an aside, I paid £35 for the car and spent 50 quid on the(new)brakes, which I fitted myself. hehe
