I Have never really fathomed whether it was us TVR owners are strange and all others are normal or the other way round . I like to think that every one else is abnormal . But it could be either way round. We all love em and 1 and couldn't care less what anyone else thinks, more fool them !!

A thread about cars which are undeniably crap under all forms of measurement but for some strange reason they're loved by true petrolheads"
Actually, I think they may have a point Mr Mojo
Hum - don't think they are undeniably crap to be honest. Ok small car manufacturer might have some build quality issues, but crap? Nah not a word that goes with TVR ownership.Actually, I think they may have a point Mr Mojo

Hope you didn't make Tim rag his 'M3' too much last weekend tony.
It couldn`t keep up with the TF which i guess he wasn`t chuffed about considering the power advantage of the Bemmer.....power to weight again

Ha! They might actually have some truth in the comments. But who really cares.
Exactly. The very fact that I drive an unorthodox vehicle should tell any critical onlooker who momentarily strays from the flock, exactly how much I value their opinion.
Basically, I don't give a flying f
k.
To be fair, the thread is a reasonable question. TVRs can be a bit crap from the point of view of reliability, cost of ownership, etc. But the rewards you are given as an owner/driver outweigh pretty much any 'crapness', hence the petrolhead love
There are limits though, and ours was when the Tuscan engine went.
Still, we got the Chim back.
Try owning an Alfa, Mini and Ferrari as well as a TVR though. If it isn't one person s
gging off your car it's another one, but do I give a hoot? Nope, cos I think they are all FAB!

Aye, I was thinking the last time I was hooning in the beacons how much the top down, V8 on steroids and howling like a mad thing on mad pills, probably over 115dB, no driving aids, rear heel drive, scaring the locals, effortfully passing shed draggers and sunday drivers in a thrice.... I was thinking how much I hankered after something a little less ostentatious. Z3 maybe?
