The latest range are on Casio's site.

Go for the most aggressive looking; the Mudmans are supposed to be very chunky and outlandish.

ETA: oh yes, check Olic's post at the bottom:

Not exactly chunky, but I've got one of these.

http://www.casio.co.uk/Products/Watches/G-Shock/GW...

Solar powered and radio updates to make sure it's displaying the exact time.

Have a look for a G-Shock Frogman "Glorious Gold" yes

Proper mental with a clear plastic body and strap with Gold titanium casing underneath...

Even the box is nice...

Unfortunately they are pretty much all sold out at the stores (one of the 25th aniversary range) so ebay is your best bet. Prices vary wildly.

You're not wrong!

I have this, now:

Suitably chunky and heavy. It feels like I could backfist someone in the face with it. Or use it as an improvised knuckleduster. I wonder if I'd be asked to remove it by bouncers.

If you Google "Bape G-Shock watch", there a few there.

Look quite good in white!

Be VERY carefull with the Bathing Ape (Bape) G-Shocks. I did a search on those a week or so ago on ebay and every single one without exception was, shall we say, questionable nono

You wouldn't think a Casio would get faked but they do, with alarming regularity. Bape's and Frogmen are the main recipients for the fakers with the Bape's taking the lions share.

Do an ebay searh right now and I get 20 uk results (all in china?) and not one of them is real. A real G-Shock Bape will cost you over £160 (quite a bit over actually). 90% of the Bape watches on ebay are on £15/20 buy it nows... hmmmm.

ps. Bape watches are not actually that good anyway, mainly worn by the rap P.Diddlys, Kanyes and Jay-Zed's of this world. Maybe why they are faked so much, all the kiddies want one. They may be G-Shock, but even so.... no, just no (personal opinion)

Probably because "Bathing Ape" is a "Hip and trendy" clothing company and the G-Shock Bape watches were a limited edition watch.
Show something that says "Limited edition" to a rapper with money to burn and they will by it. Then they appear on Cribs or the like flashing thier "L-i-m-i-t-e-d edition BABY. Yeah!" as "thats how they roll" in thier "Wip wid tha' twenytooos" rolleyes

Suddenly you have an instant sales hit among the young/impressionable demographic. Just as suddenly the fakers see the market. Then you get the ebay special £15 chinese "G-shock Bathing ape watch".

Personally I think the Bapes miss the whole point of G-Shock.

yes

Although ironically the DW-6900 on which it is based (basically the original black version) is highly regarded and one of the G's approved by NASA smile

I don't actually own one, nor do I want one.

Just bringing it to the OPs attention.

I do like them, but for the reasons you have mentioned, I wouldn't wanna wear one.

I prefer the oldder looking ones, and seeing some of the pics in this thread, it's making me want to go and get the battery replaced on one of my older ones!

I've got a g-shock tough solar cockpit model:

http://gwatches.com/casio/men-gw1701d4av-size-gw17...

I love it. It keeps perfect time, has a clear white LED backlight, takes a daily battering without picking up a scratch, and is solar powered too so is absolutely no hassle. It also adjusts automatically for GMT/BST and basically never needs any fiddling with. It also looks really tough, and a lot more expensive than the £50 or so I paid for it.
