I'm sure this has been asked before but, why is no one oppting for a S2 toyota lump in the S1,or S2 K series, surely it would be easier to get the conversion parts from a S2(vvt) sub frame etc, or have i over looked somthing. I appreciate that if you spending £10 + you would go for the honda but for a home convirsion it could make sence.?

Has been asked main problem is electrics.... Engine doesn't have the power or torque of Honda which has a load of companies offering kits and conversions. Why reinvent the wheel ?

it would cost even more than putting a Honda in there, for an inferior engine...thats why no-one is bothered

Apart from the installation problems you can tune your 120 lump to 160/170 for about £2k. You can then buy another engine as a spare and have that built up with a stronger bottom end for another £5k (less if you diy).
That should keep you going for a few years (say 150k miles) with 200-220 bhp/ton. Arguably a nicer engine too as the power delivery will be much more linear.

yeah, for about £3k then Id sooner have a 180bhp K series, with DTHTBs, Emerald - sorted...lovely and smooth, lighter than a Yota engine too ...so not much point really whichever way you look at it frown
