after a recent MOT, was told the front foglight bulb had gone.
car was in for a service at Vauxhall dealer, but they said they couldnt get the screws out.
managed eventually, and replaced the cheesy screws with bolts for next time.
BUT it wasnt the bulb. It was the very expensive (and rather pointless) MIL type connector just before the foglight; the earth terminal had corroded away completely.
So even expensive looking connectors dont seem able to stand up to our weather!
It was much easier to change than a fog lamp bulb though.

Front fogs are not a legal requirement, if fitted they have to work, so if you take them out it will pass.

all understood; just advisory.

any ideas why the earth would be the one to corrode though?
