Given that gas and oil prices have fallen, should they be increasing prices still? They mention how they've done their best to absorb extra costs and now they have no need since the prices have fallen so they don't need to increase my direct debit, right?

Or am I missing something?

Think I can persuade them otherwise by sending them trading charts?

Will they reply with "Fook off, you smart arsed southern coont."?

I received a lovely letter last month telling me that my prices were going to be increasing for gas and leccy about 29% and 18% respectively. Oh and if that wasn't bad enough, I had to pay the higher price for the gas/electricity that I had already used 2 months before. What bks is that?

The excuse was wholesale prices had risen and that the company could no longer absorb the increase but that prices 'may' come down early 2009.

Anyone want to bet if they come down, the percentage that they will? What's the bet it's nowhere near the same amount as the increase.

Nevermind tho, I'm sure they'll post profits of £500m+ and keep the economy going.

grumble grumble grumble...

Bunch of useless tts shoot

Recently signed us up to switch over to them, to cut a long story short they miss sold their service, then wouldn't confirm any specifics in writing, just kept sending us letters about how great their customer service is rolleyes

Told them we were going back to our original supplier and they ignored the request, lodged a complaint and received a confirmation letter and phone call and then no follow up. Called yesterday and was told no record of complaint on the account nor a request to switch back. argue

To top it all off they wanted to increased the monthly DD by 60% from what their agent had agreed when he reviewed past usage from our previous bills. rage

When challenged on this apparently they calculated the increased amounts based on our usage, but were happy to admit they didn't have any usage information. Seemed a little pissed when I said I was cancelling the DD and they could send me a final bill in 28 days time.

Seemed even more surprised and pissed when I said I was going to lodge a complaint with the Ombudsman. Apparently this should be the last resort and I should let them deal with the complaint internally first, I then asked for a status update on my complaint only to be told again non was on file - he shut up then loser
