Can anyone help?

After being on the internet about 10 mins I keep getting this message:

svchost.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program.

I have run a virus checker (up to date 'CA EZtrust') and it finds nothing. The error doesn't affect browsing or anything like that, but does affect windows based programs.
1. I can then copy and cut but not paste
2. Office assistant will not start up (not that this bothers me)

Any ideas?

It's the Blaster virus, you're officially the last person in the world to have it.

W32.Welchia also acts like that. Symantec have online free downloadable tools for both...

Even though its been said a million times....

Download the patch from the MS site to fix the RPC vulnerability, reboot first, then download McAfee Stinger:

Run the .exe and scan c:winnt in W2K or c:windows if XP.
