Does anyone have any idea as to what the overall turn out was "TVR's only"?

Around 100 cars at Battersea and I'm not sure that all made it there before the rest of us started to leave. I think it was probably 110 - 130 in total - pretty good considering the weather, time of year and start time!!! Same again next year? thumbup

There were at least 30 cars pissing about trying to find a route to the start point with the blackwall tunnel southbound being closed. Our lovely sat navs were just sending us around in circles until I worked out how to tell it to avoid part of the route! smile

Myself and about 10 others only arrived as you were all leaving.

I think I went through the Rotherhite tunnel 4 times this morning!

I had an offer to co-pilot with someone today for this. Unfortunately I have been rather unwell and was unable to make it along.

Next time boys, I will be joining you and I will have another TVR by then biggrin

Indeed you were, did you notice that there were about 10-20 cars (I'm guessing a convoy from another region) heading towards the closed tunnel as we headed away from it back to rotherhite (the long narrow smelly one!)

I think it was lot more than 30 cars who missed the start due to the tunnel being closed etc!

We arrived at the dome gone 7am having finally got through the blackwall tunnel when it opened (we couldn't work out to avoid it!) after a very surreal hour or so meeting up with various lost tvr's who could all see the dome but couldn't get to it! We caught up with everyone later but sadly missed most of the tunnels we were meant to go through! Very bizarre.....

It wasn't the Blackwall tunnel closure that made us late it was an accident on the way into central London which closed the road for 25 minutes.

We missed the start from the Dome so tried to find the next meeting point - which was more difficult then we first thought.

i got a very late invitation to the england v all blacks game on saturday. needless to say there was little else to cheer me up but a bucket of booze!

my alarm went off at 5.45 on sunday morning and although i felt fine when i opened my eyes, i staggered into the wall on the way to the bathroom. there was no way i was fit to drive sadly, so i sat this one out.

Yes, A12 was closed for 25 mins which was a pain... but as trafic jams go, one full of TVR's was ok!
