My answer too. But then I got tempted to answer that two are portrait and one is landscape.

How much can anyone learn about someone according to how they answer a q like this?

I've tried looking at them under infra-red...

...and I think the one on the left is emitting slightly more heat.

Is there a small woodland creature, perhaps a mouse or a ferret, hiding behind it?

A Slinky will work between box 2 & 3, but not between 1 & 2?

Each has the same area.

The one lying is shorter and fatter but the same area.

Volume needs a 3rd dimension.

I would go with all of them having the same area.
